There are three elected positions open on the Flathead Conservation District (FCD) Board of Supervisors to serve a 4-year term beginning 1/1/2019. The deadline to submit appropriate forms to the Flathead County Election Department is 3/12/2018.
FCD is a political subdivision of the State of Montana, and its mission is to conduct local activities to promote natural resources, including education, on-the-ground conservation projects, and administration of the 310 Law for stream permits. Supervisors provide guidance for district activities and interact with a variety of people and agencies, including district staff, private landowners, and local government.
Supervisors attend evening board meetings two times per month and may serve as a representative on other local boards. Supervisors must reside within the boundaries of the district.
