Are you a landowner in Flathead County looking to improve the natural resources and health of your land with conservation practices? FCD’s  Cost-Share Program is available to assist you with conservation projects on your land. We fund 75% of the allowable project cost up to a maximum of $5,000 per project.

Eligible projects include stream/fisheries improvement, wildlife habitat improvement and upland improvement. Visit our cost share program page for more specific project ideas and the fillable application form.

All applications will be reviewed and ranked based on project merit and benefit to the natural resource. Projects that employ multiple conservation practices are encouraged.

Project proposals are accepted on a rolling basis from May 31, 2017 until funding has been allocated. Accepted 2017/2018 projects must still be completed by May 1, 2018. Applications are still being accepted for 2017/2018.

The landowner is responsible for the up-front project costs. All receipts must be returned to FCD within the allotted time frame. Completed projects must be inspected before the reimbursement can be issued.
