Top 4 Noxious Weed ID Resources

Do you have a mystery plant that you need identified? Not sure if it’s a noxious weed or what treatment options are best to get rid of it? There are some great resources out there to help you. Here are four of the best ones.

1) Plant Sample Submission App

As with everything these days, there’s an app for that. This great app is free and available for either iOS or Android platforms. Simply search for “Plant Sample Submission.” The app will ask you to select a location and lab, then you can submit photos of the weed with a description. 2) Flathead County Weeds Department Staff

We just can’t say this enough – the staff at Flathead County Weeds Department are great. If you’ve got a question, they can answer it. And if you’ve got a plant that needs identified, bring them a physical sample of the plant and they can help. For more information about their services, check out their website.

3) Montana’s Noxious Weeds Digital Flip Book

4) Schutter Diagnostic Lab
