Small Acreage Landowner Workshop

Would you like to learn how to manage your property and conserve your natural resources?

Join us for the Small Acreage Landowner Workshop. During this six-week seminar series, you’ll learn about:

  • soil health fundamentals and soil types
  • septic systems, wells, and waterfront living
  • pasture management and custom farming
  • forest health, pests, and FireWise principles
  • pollinator and wildlife habitat management
  • noxious weed identification and alternative controls

Come learn how to make the best of your property while preserving its ecological value. You’ll hear presentations from the Montana State University Extension Service, Flathead County Weed Department, the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, and so many more. You’ll also take home a binder with reference materials for each of topics presented.

The workshop will take place on Wednesdays from 6-8 pm, February 6th – March 13th, at the United Way Conference Room in Kalispell.

Cost for the workshop is $125 per person, but scholarships are available. For more information or to register, contact Pat McGlynn at 758-5553 or pmcglynn@montana.edu.
